Cornwall is one of the most beautiful regions of the UK, with scenic countryside, exotic beaches and charming towns. Here are 5 of the best places to stay in Cornwall...

Newquay

Situated on the North Coast of Cornwall, Newquay is well known for its beaches Sandy Fistral and Watergate Bay. There is a Blue Reef Aquarium on the seafront which features an underwater tunnel, and a coral-reef tank with pufferfish, sharks and rays. Further inland, surrounded by tropical gardens you will find Newquay Zoo, which is home to lions, wildebeest and sloths.

Where to stay

The Sun Burnbury Barn is a high quality and luxury place to stay if you are visiting Newquay. This unique barn conversion is only a 20 minute drive for the sandy town of Newquay, and has very good facilities such as a hot tub and an open fireplace. The property has a large garden with a football goal and it is pet friendly too! It sleeps 4 people with 2 bedrooms - one double bedroom and en-suite - and one bedroom with 2 single beds.  Set over two floors, this is an impressive property with captivating countryside views, a quirky reverse-level interior, fabulous contemporary furnishings and decor, and a brilliant open-plan area where you can enjoy quality family time. 7 night prices start at £497
