Cork Airport is the second largest in Ireland, behind Dublin. Each year, it sees around 2.3 million passengers travel with the airport, and with new destinations getting added to its repertoire all the time, numbers continue to grow.
Airlines Aer Lingus and Ryanair have a strong presence at Cork airport, and provide flights to popular sun destinations across Europe, including Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Tenerife and Mallorca. City break destinations like Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon are available too, along with seasonal flights to the likes of Madrid and Barcelona. New routes scheduled to begin in the coming year include Katowice in Poland (from 31 October 2019), along with additional flights to Lanzarote, beginning in May 2020 with TUI Airways.
Getting to and from Cork Airport is easy. Situated around five miles south of Cork city centre, it can be reached by car in around 20 minutes, or 30 minutes by bus; the 226 and 226A buses run to and from Cork Parnell Place Bus Station frequently.
You can find fantastic value package holidays departing from Cork Airport regularly, with All Inclusive holidays a popular package type with travellers. With increased presence by major holiday providers like TUI at the airport, new competition will likely drive prices down on deals in the future.
