Cheap Holidays to Losinj

Losinj is one of the most popular of the Croatian islands and receives thousands of visitors each year. The main resort on the island is Mali Losinj and it is known for its relaxed way of life, natural beauty and spectacular harbour. Cikat Bay is another busy area due to its great beach and windsurfing opportunities for most of the year. If you prefer something a little quieter, the town of Veli Losinj might be more up your street.

Losinj Island has a great number of things to do and see. One of the best and potentially most memorable is to take a stroll along the “Dolphin Way Promenade”. It is one of the best spots on the island to - if you’re lucky - catch a glimpse of dolphins. Along this promenade you will also find a number of secluded bays and Krivica, a well-known yachting hotspot. Other aspects of the island include Cikat Forest Park, August Wine & Champagne Bar and if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, why not try some Stand-Up PaddleBoarding Yoga (SUP yoga)?

Because there is so much to experience on the island, we recommend a slightly longer stay here than some of the other Croatian Islands. As is the case with most of them, they are relatively easy to move between and mainland Croatia isn’t too far either, meaning you can plan a destination-hop holiday if you wish without too much trouble.

The best time to visit the Croatian island is between May and October. This is when temperatures are at their most pleasant and activities such as swimming in the sea and sunbathing are their most enjoyable. If you are looking to do less sunbathing and more sightseeing, a trip during the spring or autumn months is what we would recommend.
